A new Yahoo Canada/ Maru Public Opinion survey released today reveals that as “Financial Literacy Month” kicks off, just one in five (21%) Canadians consider themselves very financially literate. While a majority (60%) admit to managing a personal or monthly budget, fewer (29%) have taken educational courses about finances or personal budget management.

Hotel direct booking

A survey released today by Maru Public Opinion that was undertaken for Marriott Bonvoy finds a majority (60%) of Canadians prefer to book their hotel stay using the hotel website (for example, Marriott.com, Hilton.com) rather than directly through online travel agencies (such as Expedia.com, Booking.com). Those most likely to prefer this method reside in Atlantic Canada (63%), followed by those living in both Ontario (61%) and Québec (61%), British Columbia (59%), Alberta (54%), and Manitoba/Saskatchewan (54%).

A new Yahoo Canada/ Maru Public Opinion survey released today finds a whopping seven-in-ten (67%) Canadians admitting that they’re shopping less in stores nowadays than before the pandemic began back in March 2020.
