Most (63%) Canadians are craving more simplicity in their lives, including their snacking habits: over half (54%) agree that when they’re in a rush and need a snack they tend to reach for the most convenient option, but wish they were making healthier choices.
February 2024 Canadian Maru Household Index
The February 2024 Canadian MHOI holds at 86 (negative/pessimistic) but has some underlying data that is the worst since tracking began in July 2020.
Paper anniversary challenges
By the time married or common law/civil partnership couples have their first year “paper anniversary”, just over three quarters (77%) say they’ve faced numerous challenges topped by managing money, adjusting to living together, and communications.
Making the grade with finances
While most Canadians gave themselves excellent grades on managing their finances in 2023, younger Canadians assigned themselves the lowest grades but were also most likely to admit they need more help.
