Ontario Plan and Smoke

A survey published today by Maru/Blue Public Opinion Research North America finds that majority (53%) of Ontarian parents don’t believe the Ford Government’s back-to-school plan is the “Best in Entire Country” as the Premier claims.

In fact, a majority (70%) of parents of school-aged students surveyed throughout the province say that regardless of who speaks about this issue nowadays, they honestly don’t know who or what to trust.

But if they don’t know who or what to trust, they know hyperbole when they hear it: the premier has also recently said “We have the best plan, bar none, over any province. All the other provinces are shouting and screaming and saying, ‘we want Ontario’s plan.’” To this, a majority (70%) believe the premier is “blowing smoke” compared to a minority (30%) who believe that “this is truly being said by others”.
