Omicron on the March

The results of a new survey taken over this past weekend and released today by Maru Public Opinion finds a majority (56%) of Canadians concerned with contracting the Omicron variant virus and with one-in-ten (11%) who know of someone among their family or circle of friends who’ve contracted this form of Covid in the past ten days. With a majority (54%) believing that the virus is being underestimated, a majority (55%) also agree that vaccines or people's own immunity will protect them – but this is down seven percentage points (from 62%) from early December.
