Children first
Ahead of National Child Day on November 20, the results of a study undertaken by Maru Public Opinion for Children First Canada (CFC) finds that six in ten (59%) Canadians believe children and adolescents are worse off now than they were a year ago and equally as many (60%) do not believe that the generation will have a prosperous/healthy future.
Those most likely to agree are a majority of older Canadians (55+, 65%/35-54, 62%) and a half (49%) of those who are younger (aged 18-34), and especially among those living in Atlantic Canada (69%) followed by those residing in Manitoba/Saskatchewan 66%, Alberta (65%), and Ontario (61%). Women (61%) and men (57%) share similar views.
