Canada/US and PRC trade
A new Maru Public Opinion survey finds majorities of Americans (86%) and Canadians (82%) agreeing they should be working closely with companies on the other side of their mutual border to reduce each other’s reliance on importing goods from the Peoples’ Republic of China (“PRC”). Further, a significant majority of Americans support Canada being included in renewed Buy America provisions to ensure Canadian exporters still have access to the U.S. market (79%), while a majority of Canadians favor making it easier for American exporters to sell their goods and services into the Canadian market (71%).
