Maru Group boosts Group Global Executive Committee with internal promotions

Southampton, 17 July 2017 - MARU Group (“MARU” or “the Group”), the technology-enabled market and customer insights group, today announces the promotions of Sarah Redford to MARU Group Chief People Officer and Carlos Palacio to MARU Group Chief Information Officer. Sarah and Carlos will join CEO Ged Parton, CTO Shane Wright and newly-appointed CFO Heather McRae on the Group Global Executive Committee. The promotions support the Group’s continued expansion across the UK and North America with its recent acquisition of SynGro.

With over 19 years of Human Resources experience, Sarah has overseen the delivery of Maru/Matchbox’s People strategy across multiple teams located in Toronto, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Vancouver. Sarah is a passionate leader focused on developing and implementing HR initiatives aligned with the business strategy to improve performance in a high growth business. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of British Columbia and a Human Resource Management Certificate from Ryerson University.

Since joining Maru/Matchbox last year, Carlos has played an integral role in empowering a diverse and skilled team of remote and in-house staff with the tools, knowledge and opportunities to become high-impact contributors. Carlos brings over 20 years of global experience leading IT/IS strategy and operations including infrastructure, applications, ERP implementations and project management. Carlos holds a B.ASc. Systems and Computer Engineering from Universidad de los Andes and received his Masters’ in Electrical Engineering from the University of Windsor. Carlos is also a member of the Board of Directors for the CIO Association of Canada.

Sarah and Carlos will remain part of the core team at Maru/ Matchbox, whilst assuming Group level responsibilities with immediate effect.
