BUILD VIEWER RELATIONSHIPS
Through Program Search
The challenge of finding something to watch on TV used to be a simple, linear process – open up the TV Guide, glance through the channel listings, pick a channel. But now, in a severely fragmented media and entertainment universe, trying to find something to watch on TV can be a painstaking exercise.
By asking consumers to select pictures that represent their emotional connection to the current challenge of content search and discovery, we uncovered three ways to help build the viewer relationship through search:
Inspiration
Personalization
Well-being
These need states are key topics for broadcasters, studios, SVOD and AVOD streaming services to explore with their current and potential viewers, and gain a more holistic understanding of how people feel, behave and think.
